Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? Well, there's a reason for that: I moved my blog over to Wordpress (kind of a long damn time ago, like back in November), and I neglected to make any kind of official announcement. I had mentioned in my last few posts on this blog that I was in the process of moving it over, but ended up having to take an extended hiatus from blogging for personal reasons, and when I came back I pretty much just started posting on the new blog without even thinking. So for any of you who might've thought I'd dropped off the face of the Earth, I'm sorry. You won't be getting rid of me that easily.
You'll find the new and kinda-improved All Write-y Then here: http://allwriteythenblog.com/blog/. Yeah, I know, the /blog at the end is annoying as hell, but somehow I managed to erase the entire website including the admin dashboard when I tried to make it so that all permalinks or whatever from this blog would link to that one. Eventually, I got sick of trying to un-fuck up the problem, but thankfully there was a way to create some kind of subdomain so I could start over from scratch, so at least for the foreseeable future, allwriteythenblog.com/blog it will remain. You'll find all of my old posts from this blog over there, although unfortunately the formatting on my Force Awakens review got all wonky and a few of the posts have gifs and pictures that are missing. Someday I'll get around to fixing all of them.
Thank you to all of you who have stuck around for the last couple years and put up with my multiple unscheduled hiatuses and rough patches. I think now I'm finally starting to hit my stride as a writer and a blogger, and am also in a much better place emotionally than I was around the time that I wrote my last post on this particular blog. I'm excited at the slightly new direction I'll be taking with All Write-y Then and hope you guys enjoy it, too.

Movie Review: Cinderella (2015)
Hey, everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts over the past week. I know I said on Twitter that I'd be taking a brief hiatus while I moved my blog over to WordPress--with a fancy new domain name and everything!--but the process is turning out to be a bit more slow-going than I anticipated. Moral of the story: sometimes you actually do have to read the terms of service, because there may just be a clause stating that the web hosting service you just signed up for doesn't allow profanity. So then after you decide that going clean and family-friendly ain't happening, you cancel your subscription but decide to keep the domain name that came with it, switch over to a new web host, decide that getting G-Suite with the package might be a good idea so you can have a domain name email to start a mailing list with, but because the domain name is provided by a different web hosting service the process just became way more complicated and in the end you kind of want to light your computer on fire.
So yeah, I figured I'd take a break from all that for a while and finish the movie review I started writing almost a week ago. This will probably be my last post as a Blogger blogger, so you'd think I'd be a little more sentimental; after all, I've been blogging here since May, 2014. And maybe I am, just a little bit, but the way I see it, making the jump over to self-hosting and WordPress represents me turning over a new leaf as a writer. I'm trying to be a bit more serious about it these days, especially now that recent events in my life have afforded me more time to devote to my writing and blogging. I'd like to try my luck at putting myself out there as an author, as well as possibly making a bit of money off of my writing. I want to devote more time and effort into building this blog into something I can be proud of, give it all the sweet lovin' it deserves. I want to self-publish the fantasy short story collection I've been working on, I want to crank out all those steamy romance novel ideas I've had--or that my alter-ego has had--I want to do a lot of things as a writer, and to do that I need to make some changes and have a fresh start. I'm pretty excited about it, but a little nervous, too. But you can rest assured, no matter where this writing journey takes me, All Write-y Then will still be the same... just a lot better.
But you came here for a review, right?

Romance Mini-Reviews: My Sexy Sensei and Bad Things
Yes, I am back with another installment of erotic romance mini-reviews. I bet you're all just so excited.
I know, I know, I keep trying to move away from sub-par erotica on this blog, but it's been hard to avoid when I've been consuming an uncharacteristically high volume of erotic romance in the past six months or so as "research" for my own romance series I've been trying to write. So yeah, now I have a modest backlog of books, although I can promise you that these will be the last two romance novels I'll be reviewing for quite a while. Yes, really. But hey, if you're one of those people who actually stick around for my erotic romance reviews, then I can also promise you that you haven't seen the last of them forever. Also, if you're interested in seeing how my own sexy writing measures up, maybe give some love to my alter-ego Siena Noble? Not to honk my own horn, by I think my freshman effort at romance is pretty not horrible. Or at least it will be, if I ever finish it. Which I totally will, by like, October. Or maybe August. It's not the only thing I'm working on at the moment, ok? I've got a secret fantasy project in the works, too, plus this blog which is still my baby and needs some serious TLC.
No, wait, come back! I've got a fantasy review, a movie review, and a sporking all planned for this week! |

Book Review: A Game of Thrones
So, uh, yeah... I've kinda been promising a certain book review for literally almost a year, haven't I?
Hopefully the music will last you until the end of this review.
(WARNING: Minor spoilers ahead for both the book and the first season of the show, although I'll try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible. Also, the usual ranting and occasional foul language, obvs.)

So I Went to See Fifty Shades Darker...
BACK FROM THE DEAD, ASSHOLES!
Man, it feels good to be back. And believe me, there was a time when I myself did think that this blog was dead. One of these days I'll probably write a very candid and emotionally-charged post about everything that's been going on with me for the past half year or so. But right now, I've got a shitty movie to rant about. Because you know that if there was one thing that could bring me out of retirement, it would be Fifty Shades of Garbage.

Here We Go Again... My Fifty Shades Darker Trailer Reaction (plus other news)
Hello once again, fellow nerds! As you can probably tell, work and grad school have been kicking my sorry ass, and I'm still trying to get the hang of managing my minuscule free time properly. Sadly, I did not make nearly as much progress as I had wanted to on that super sexy erotic romance novel I'm writing, and it's been way too long since I've devoted much time to this blog, or even since I tweeted anything. I was getting ready to finally post my long-overdue review of Star Trek Beyond this week, though, and was totally going to (honestly! I swear!) follow that up with my book reviews of A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings. But alas, it was not yet to be, for I have recieved two pieces of terrible news today that have forced me to completely change my plans.

Book Review: In Flight, by R.K. Lilley
Yes, I know, I promised you A Game of Thrones. That review will be ready soon...ish. I hope. But right now I just have all these thoughts about all these erotic romance books I've been reading stuck in my head and I just need to get them out. Enjoy!
In Flight (Up in the Air #1)- R.K. Lilley
(WARNING: All the usual stuff about snark, possibly NSFW material, and some possible mild spoilers, although probably not too many. Also, I could honestly not care less if I did spoil this book. I think you'll understand why soon enough.)
